Autos Review: 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt

This is the brand new 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt and powered with 315-horsepower. Damn it! It’s will makes me fly, that was Mustang Bullitt. What the heck you mean fly? OK, let me show you.

When this Mustang wheeling, you’ll hear their suspension droop, and their engine down to idle when you take your foot off the accelerator and this car reaches their apogee of trajectory - and everything in cockpit you will feel ‘weightlessness’, your muscle in your body has tensed tight and reach that dead silence.

This 2008 Mustang Bullitt has started to put off that “GT” badges and using standard rear wing from deck lid. The up front installed with new black mesh grille without driving lights or “horse”. The pipe exhaust tip is very unique stainless steel - fake fuel filler between that taillights are new design that was incorporating same deco art lettering Warner Brothers for “Bullitt” that has been used on some posters for that Bullitt film.

This Ford Mustang Bullitt got style with 18-inch wheels and looks like Torq-Thrusts on P235/50ZR18 BF Goodrich G-Force T/A KDWS all-season performance. This Mustang shocks and springs are retuned to get out the most of those tires. Suspension has been lowered by 6mm (this means Bullitt ride height is between stock Mustang GT and Shelby GT.

On the inside of this 2008 Mustang Bullitt, the driver seat is covered by leather La-Z-Boy (Recaro version). Also three-spoke steering wheel and Bullitt logo on their airbag cover. Aluminum pedal covers and aluminum shift knob ball also it’s complemented. Only 7,000 unit is build for this Ford Mustang Bullitt during 2008. A few of them are painted black but the majority is painted “Highland Green” as Steve McQueen’s original Bullitt.

  • Handling Comments: Takes much coaxing to provoke lurid powerslides on the skid pad. Natural cornering attitude is understeer. In the slalom it’s very quick for a Mustang. Quick turn-in response, yet it has relatively low limits. Predictable, textbook rear-wheel drive.
  • Braking Comments: Pedal feels good and doesn’t lack confidence until brake pounding gets severe. Will eventually fade.
