Beginners Guide to Affiliates Program: How To Get Traffic - Using Link Building With Strategies
FREE Ways To Get Targeted Traffic
Link building strategy is an effective way to get traffic, I mean qualified traffic and targeted. What is link building? Many people (who’s are newbie in Internet Marketing) confuse about this. Let me explain about the link building term:
Reciprocal linking
- link exchange between websites and they agrees to link each other (one of their pages), and can be banner (graphic) or text link.
Anchor Text
- the text displayed as HTML and was used to linking (example: my blog anchor text is ‘baLooTisme’. In default color, it was blue link.
Link Directory
- website directory that offer their registered (sometimes you don’t have to register) member to link exchange with each other, just choose what niche you are on.
Theme Link
- same niche or similar website that linking to each other. (example: my blog is about Internet Marketing, so if your blog is about Internet Marketing too, you’re welcomed to link exchange with me.
Social Link
- a link from social network such as Digg, MySpace, StumbleUpon or Reddit. In 2007, many network become bookmark websites. (example: when I submit this post to Digg, and when you read this post, you also like it and you Digg it too. So, this post become more popular when many people Digg it and this will increase this post traffic)
Content Link
- linking to other content on same websites/blog or to others websites/blog such as at the end of article. (example: When you’re writing post blog or articles to submit to article directory, make sure you link to your website. This is good because of 1-way linking)
Deep Link
- link to internal pages of websites and it’s was aim at targeted keyword and has similar niche (example: this is link to my other post and in same niche (internet marketing) - http://www.balootisme.com/index.php/beginners-guide-to-affiliates-program-how-to-get-started-part-2/)
Site-Wide Link
- link on every page of site. (example: did you see a BlogRoll widget of sidebar? that was a site-wide link. That link appears in every page of my blog)
Link Farm
- a link that placed on many sites instantly and normally it was paid service. This link farm is NOT RECOMMENDED. You can’t fool Google or other major SE.
1-Way Link
- just 1-way linking and it was normal linking.
3-Way Link
- this linking is between 2 webmasters. (example: I had 2 website, let’s name it Website A and Website B. I link to you on Website A, and I want you to link to my Website B)
Text Link Paid Ads
- you purchase link from website to influence SE ranks (if you’re buying text link from high PageRank website, your PageRank will increase too). But Google are against this and want webmaster to report any website/blog that doing this.
PageRank (PR)
- Google’s view of website in scale from 0 to 10, and new domains like this blog takes time to get PR and it’s started from zero. The higher your PR, the higher chance your website appears in SE.
baLooT’s Note: Google update their PageRank every 3 to 4 months (visible PR). But real PR is update all time. So, toolbar sometimes mislead view of PR.
