This is the year we know more things have change - 1969. The Beatles come to hit world with his hits - Come Together. It was top music charts along Johnny Cash A Boy Named Sue and Neil Armstrong set his damn foot on the moon. This is the year Chevrolet Chevelle SS as known as Classic American Muscle Car was born. This Chevrolet as known as Chevy (I think this sounds more muscle to you) was demanded to all muscle car enthusiasts small cars with damn powerful motors. This fastback body style redesign was on 1968 and give Chevy touch of class with new design of tail lights. This mid-sized cars 1969 Chevy Chevelle SS has meet the median (small sports cars & large family cars).

The first Chevy Chevelle 1969 was SS 396. But it wasn’t perfect because of poor handling and it’s required more stiffer spring and shocks. A year later, this Chevelle 396 was replaced with 402 cubic engine and supposedly due to emission standards. Chevy Chevelle was popular muscle car on it’s time even a minor imperfections on initial release and also become the very best seller of all times.

Chevrolet Chevelle SS’s first released was on 1963 with standard 327 CC V8 and 300 horsepower engine. Also at that time, Pontiac GTO has 389 CC and that was unmatched. Chevrolet gradually increasing power of their motors to responded over the competition.
